Eastern: Worn by brides
Maori: Mana, rank, spiritual
China: Good luck, celebration
India: Purity
South Africa: Colour of mourning
Orange:
Ireland: Religious (Protestants)
Western: Creativity, autumn
Yellow:
China: Nourishing
Japan: Courage
Western: Hope, hazards, coward
Green:
India: Islam
Western: Spring, new birth, go, Saint Patrick's Day, Christmas (with red), the environment.
Blue:
Western: Depression, sadness, conservative, corporate, bridal tradition

Japan: White carnation symbolises death
Eastern: Funerals
